Annual Chicken BBQ
Every summer we build a big charcoal BBQ pit and cook around 500 half chickens! Meals available to eat in or take out, and include baked potato, vegetables, rolls & desert! Live entertainment or music on site. A great social event for our community, and some of the best chicken you've ever had!
Annual Ticket Draw
One of our best annual fundraisers, with cash prizes awarded totaling $4500!
Musical Bingos
A great night out! A fun way to test your knowledge of songs and artists, while enjoying time with friends and supporting our department! Special thanks to our Deputy Chief Doug and his wife Lorie for organizing these great events.
Children's Christmas Party
Annual event we started in 20XX for the children in our coverage area (Districts 5 &7). Snacks, games, crafts, and maybe even a special visitor dressed in white and red!
Fire Prevention Week
Each year, members from our department promote Fire Prevention week by visiting our local School & Daycares to talk to the children about fire safety.

Annual Golf Tournament
Great summer time event, register your team in advance for a great day on the golf course with prizes awarded and an afternoon BBQ to end the day! We've hosted this event at the Osprey Shores golf course in Guysborough, as well as at the Antigonish Golf & Country Club.
Nova Scotia Firefighters 50/50 Draw
An online 50/50 draw started by the Amherst Fire Fighters Association, and supporting nearly all of the fire departments in Nova Scotia. Weekly ticket sales of over $200,000 in October 2020! Open to all residents of Nova Scotia. Please choose to support Pomquet Fire!
